The Overview Of Week 2

As week 2 of the course comes to an end what I have gained from this week; Module 2 is the use of Adobe Express having the ability to create graphics, collages, and many others. Furthermore, the Study of Moore's Law and its Significance and how it's been used to highlight the rapid change in information processing technologies. Lastly, the usage of google scholar has the ability to have valid and reliable articles.

First off, Module 2 has definitely opened my eyes to newer research and teaches especially the use of Adobe Express. I was able to gain knowledge of the use of photoshop, and the ability to edit photos that'll meet my expectations within a couple of minutes. Having every option such as removing backgrounds to adding a filter within Adobe Express was pleasing instead of taking hours to understand a different editing application and figuring out where the editing/templates are at. Furthermore, Adobe Express has so many sizes to post your photo in whether it's on Instagram or Facebook it gives you the comfort of sizes for you to choose for your photo to be aligned so it can fit once you post and not be cropped out.

In addition to Module 2, we were presented with Moore's Law. what is Moore's Law? Moore's Law is the idea that we can expect the speed and potential of our computers to go up every couple of years. In 1965, he predicted that technology would continue to get smaller, faster, and more reliable at an even rate while the cost decreases. Moore's predictions were pretty accurate. As shown on this graph, Moore's prediction, and how transistors as they double every 2 years.
Lastly, within Module 2 what I found useful when doing research was the use of Google Scholar. In a brief description of what is google scholar, it's a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats. What made me so fascinated with google scholar was the ability to search whatever and looked at articles from 5 to 50 years ago. Therefore, made it easier to expand my research. While reading and doing research I also learned about the 3R method which is to research, read fast, and reflect when I was going through different articles that'll make my research accurate.
In conclusion, Module 2 was definitely a Module that I gain so much knowledge and first on experience from being able to edit my own photos with just a few clicks to understanding Moore's law through technology seeing how accurate his idea was in 1965 to today technology how technology has gotten smaller and smaller but is so compact, and usable wherever you go, and lastly, google scholar to help me find articles to explore related resources throughout the years, and knowing the 3R method to help narrow down articles that I find beneficial for my research.
